ENG 376 - American Working-Class Literature This course focuses on literature written by and about America’s working-class population according to the bourgeoisie/proletarian model of industrial division. Students will read fiction and non-fiction representative of working people’s experiences in American culture, particularly those concerning capitalistic exploitation and socioeconomic inequalities in contemporary American working-class literature.
