SLP 257 - Phonetics

This course will introduce stduents to the study of the physical aspects of specch including the acoustic and articulatory properties of sound. Students will learn the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) and will transcribe spoken words, phrases, and sentences using IPA.

Prerequisites A grade of C or better in COMM 100 or equivalent.
Corequisite SLP 101 can be a corequisite if prerequisite is not met.
