The interdisciplinary Behavioral Science major equips students to understand the causes and consequences of human behavior from multiple perspectives (individual, societal, and cultural) and to evaluate behavioral science research for a variety of graduate and professional applications.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students will understand the continuum of human behavior and recognize deviations from normality.
- Students will demonstrate understanding of the impact of membership in majority and minority social groups on behavior.
- Students will demonstrate understanding of the impact of cultural structures on behavior.
- Students will apply basic research methods and statistical analysis to behavioral data.

Major courses are:
Electives
Choose 9 hours of electives selected from Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology courses numbered above 200 or Human Development and Family Studies courses numbered 300

Notes(s):
No more than 6 hours may be selected from any one discipline.
