The major program in Political Science is designed for students who have an interest in government, politics or the law.  The program provides students with the basic foundation needed for graduate study in political science, public administration, or for law school.  

Student Learning Outcomes

The successful student will:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of the federal policy-making process.  
2. Demonstrate an understanding of the essential features of international relations, international law, and international organizations.  
3. Demonstrate an understanding of the role of the Federal Judiciary in interpreting the Constitution.  
4. Demonstrate an understanding of a variety of political philosophies.
