Health Care Administration, M.A.

The Master of Arts Degree in Healthcare Administration is an online program tailored to the demands of working professionals in the healthcare industry. Students experience an understanding of the analytical, economic, social, political, and technological perspectives of a fast-changing and complex health care environment. During the course of the program students explore and discuss the challenging changes in the way care is delivered, paid for, and evaluated. Courses include critical topics such as leadership training, change management, conflict management techniques, culture building, quality improvement, and communications skills, as well as financial impacts of decisions. The degree can be completed within 2 years.

Format

The MA in Healthcare Administration is available as a 100% online degree program with students taking two courses per semester in seven (7) week sessions. Thirty semester hours are required. The online program is intended for students with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or two or more years of professional experience in the health care industry.
