The mission of the Psychology program is to equip students to think critically about psychological issues, evaluate basic and applied psychological research, and understand the causes and consequences of individual differences.    

 

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will describe and apply key concepts in core psychology content areas.  
  2. Students will apply basic statistical analysis to behavioral data.  
  3. Students will critically evaluate psychological research.  
  4. Students will conduct psychological research and report findings accurately in APA format.

Restricted Electives


8-9 semester hours are required as restricted electives, chosen from 4 semester hour courses in BIO, CHEM, CJ, PHYS, PS, or PUBH, or any course designated as CIS or MATH.
