The Master’s in Healthcare Administration program seeks to provide students with the theoretical underpinnings and real-world knowledge necessary to excel as leaders in healthcare administration. 

Our online Healthcare Administration master’s degree will prepare you to launch or advance your career in health administration, whether you’re interested in the management of hospitals and other health services organizations, or public health infrastructure and consulting. You’ll learn principles of leadership, management, and social responsibility as they apply to health systems. 

The online program is intended for students with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or for students who earned a Bachelor’s degree in another field of study with two or more years of professional experience in the health care industry. 

 

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the principles, standards, and practices involved in the administration of a healthcare organization. 
  2. Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the psychological, ethical, cultural, political, and social dimensions of leadership, administration, and management in a healthcare organization. 
  3. Students will be able to apply planning, decision-making and problem-solving skills to a range of Healthcare Administration issues and organizational performance. 
  4. Students will be able to develop a strategy to source valid research, analyze data, and develop metrics to identify trends in the healthcare organization. 

Format

The MA in Healthcare Administration is available as a 100% online degree program with students taking two courses per semester in seven (7) week sessions. Thirty semester hours are required. The online program is intended for students with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or two or more years of professional experience in the health care industry.

The Master of Arts in Healthcare Administration requires 30 sh.
