ART 361 - Issues in Contemporary Art This course offers a survey of post-modern and contemporary art worldwide since the 1970s and 1980s until today. While exploring innovative artistic concepts, the course focuses on societal issues as reflected in art works created by artists across the globe. Class discussions are aimed at issues of social justice, environmental responsibility, diversity, spirituality, humanity, etc. as well as distinctive cultural ideas, values, and images. Students will explore the range of social media to manifest their learning.
