ENG 261 - Collecting Treasures: Contemporary African Literature and Film This course surveys contemporary African writers and how their works represent vast landscapes of socio-political change, ranging from imperialism, colonialism, oppression, racism, ethnic conflict, disenfranchisement, social justice, gender inequality, nation building, and literacy to artistic expression in literature and film.
