FS 103 - Introduction to Fire Science and Fire Administration This course provides an overview of the fire service, from history and culture to the basics of chemistry and physics, fire protection systems, and strategic and tactical considerations for wildland or structural fires. Other topics include risk management, Next Generation 9-1-1, the U.S. fire problem from local and federal perspectives, wildfire and interface fire issues, and impacts of climate change.
