Students completing the B.S.N. degree will complete courses for the Associate Degree in Nursing at Midlands Technical College and become licensed as an RN before completing upper-level nursing courses at Columbia College. This format is delivered in the residential settings.

The Online RN to BSN degree targets students who have completed an ADN degree and hold an unencumbered Registered Nurse license. This degree provides a strong foundation in the theory of nursing, and the critical thinking and communication skills necessary to advance in the profession and/or pursue graduate studies in nursing.

In general students should complete the BSN general education requirements and specified electives prior to enrolling in the nursing core curriculum. However, the general education and specified electives are also offered in our online program.

The mission of the nursing program at Columbia College is to prepare nurses to become competent leaders in their professional nursing practices. The nursing program embraces Columbia College core values of social justice and service to educate nurses that will provide compassionate and culturally-sensitive care to improve the health and wellness of a diverse community.
