Available in the Day College and Online Program.
The Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice provides a strong educational foundation for work in the criminal justice field. Students are prepared to be leaders in their chosen field or endeavor in public or private-sector settings.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students will demonstrate understanding of the organization and administration of the criminal justice system.
- Students will be able to critically evaluate theories about crime and criminal behavior.
- Students will critically evaluate criminal justice research.
- Students will evidence knowledge of effective leadership skills and traits in various criminal justice sectors.
- (Forensic Concentration only): Students will understand principles critical to forensics and crime scene investigations including protocols, documentation of evidence, fingerprinting techniques, blood stain pattern analysis and scientific analysis of evidence.

General Concentration
Choose 12 additional semester hours in Criminal Justice. 6 s.h. selected from EM 102 , EM 201 , EM 310 , EM 320 , or EM 360 may be applied to Criminal Justice elective hours.
Notes(s):
BIO 100 must be taken to satisfy the general education Scientific Literacy requirement. CHEM 110 is required as a specific elective.
