Forensic Psychology, B.S.

The mission of the Forensic Psychology program is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the intersection of psychology and the law and the ability to apply psychological concepts to criminal justice process and judicial decision-making. 

 

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will understand the continuum of human behavior and recognize deviations from normality.  
  2. Students will critically evaluate psychological research.  
  3. Students will be able to critically evaluate theories about crime and criminal behavior.  
  4. Students will demonstrate understanding of the organization and administration of the criminal justice system.  
  5. Students will understand principles critical to forensics and crime scene investigations.

Restricted Electives


SOC 151 must be taken to fulfill the general education Human Institutions and Behavior requirement. Two 4 semester hour laboratory courses are required as restricted electives beyond General Education Requirements.
