The degree programs in Computer and Information Science will give students the tools they need to pursue a career in system analysis, software or web development, support specialization, database administration, cybersecurity, or graduate work in a related field.

Mission: The Computer and Information Science program is committed to providing Computer and information Science majors with the coursework and experiences that will enable them to enter a computer-related career in business, industry, or government, or to pursue graduate studies in a computing field.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Students will demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively orally and/or in writing using appropriate computing technology and technology tools.
Students will demonstrate an ability to analyze a problem and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate to its solution.
Students will demonstrate an ability to design, implement and evaluate a computer-based system or program to meet desired needs.

Day College students are required to complete CIS 470 or CIS 498. Online College students must complete an additional CIS course numbered 200 or higher instead of CIS 470 or CIS 498.
