Computer and Information Science, B.A.

The degree programs in Computer and Information Science will give students the tools they need to pursue a career in system analysis, software or web development, support specialization, database administration, cybersecurity, or graduate work in a related field. 

Mission: The Computer and Information Science program is committed to providing Computer and information Science majors with the coursework and experiences that will enable them to enter a computer-related career in business, industry, or government, or to pursue graduate studies in a computing field. 

 

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively orally and/or in writing using appropriate computing technology and technology tools.  
  2. Students will demonstrate an ability to analyze a problem and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate to its solution.  
  3. Students will demonstrate an ability to design, implement and evaluate a computer-based system or program to meet desired needs.
